The Coaching Process
Coaching sessions are tailored to best meet your individual needs. Usually people schedule a full hour to meet the first time, and any follow-up sessions.

Connect to Yourself: The initial focus is to explore your personal experience with public speaking and the current challenges you are facing. Kenneth will assist you to recognize and develop your goals. At the end of each session verbal feedback and guidance will be given and followed up with written notes on how to best support a calm and confident state of mind and body.

Connect to Subject/Topic: Kenneth encourages you to be proactive and goal-focused and works with you to create a plan of action that will help you make both immediate and sustained progress. He becomes a member of your team, to support you and be there for you when you most need him.

Connect to your Audience: Through the use of audio and visual materials you will develop your unique voice and physical presentation style which will insure a strong connection with any audience.

Preparation for specific presentations
Often the hardest part of a presentation is the anxiety that arises during the time prior to the event. For some people, once they are launched into the presentation the anxiety eases and they are able to relax into the experience. For other people, the entire process is painful, from the moment they learn about the presentation until the event is over. In preparing for a presentation. Private coaching sessions with Kenneth will help you:

  • Considerably reduce your pre-presentation anxiety
  • Develop an organizing metaphor that can serve as a roadmap for your talk
  • Develop powerful and effective openings to your talks
  • Design strategies for engaging the audience
  • Organize the content of your presentations
  • Develop compelling materials, such as slide shows and handouts, that support but don't overwhelm the presentation
  • Repeatedly practice the delivery of your presentation while being coached and videotaped.

      Some people are yearning to share their knowledge and vision with others, but because they are so close to the material don't know how to organize their thinking so that audiences can "get it". It often helps to have a sounding board, someone who can listen to your ideas, identify themes and help you organize your thinking so that your audiences will feel moved, inspired and motivated.
